Gabriel Felipe Niño – SPEAKERS

I have been working in the emerald world for already three years from the scientific side. I was awarded with a scholarship to study Master in Science at the National Taiwan University (NTU) (a top 100 university in the world), and I finished it in 2017. All my efforts were focused on disclosing some of the doubts about the formation and distribution of Colombian emeralds. I gave some ideas about the composition and evolution of the fluid and its interaction with the host rock in order to form the much-appreciated beryl. Furthermore, we propose complementary tools for the exploration of emeralds in the western belt using stable isotopes.
