A fluent Thai speaker and 30-year Bangkok resident, Tony Brooke has operated a variety of businesses in this country, and has built up a vast network of contacts within both the private sector and government departments. In addition, he serves as the Vice President and Chairman of Overseas Development for the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), with the latter role tasking him with travelling the world to source high-quality gemstones for the Thai cutting industry and identifying new markets for Thai jewelry-based products.
In 1983, Mr. Brooke obtained his Accredited Gemologist (A.G.) Diploma from the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), and subsequently went on to found Gem Dreams Co. Ltd. and co-found Tabtim Dreams Co. Ltd.
Now in its thirtieth year Gem Dreams still remains under his sole ownership and continues to be active within gem mining, rough and cut gemstone wholesale, and gold jewelry retail.
